The Menopause journey: In the Beginning.
Navigating a world where as girls we grow up being told we have to be polite and ladylike yet we want to run and jump and play like the boys. Growing up alongside young men who are always stronger than us by design, and always seem to have the upper hand. Sexually, they are seen as virile and manly, doing what young men are supposed to do.
As young women, we weren't afforded quite the same freedom.
We get older and jump onto the career ladder, however getting quickly thrown off when it’s time to procreate. And don't even think about jumping back into that career if you plan on raising your family yourself. The time spent nurturing and growing infants into toddlers, then into small people who eventually grow into bigger people is undetermined, but rewarding.
Not financially, or professionally. But rewarding all the same.
Isn't it ?
When it's time to finally throw yourself back onto the career ladder, the starting point is almost always on the lower rung, somewhere far from where you left and always a number of steps behind the men in the salary range.
If you get lucky, you'll have some years under your belt before you're handed the dreaded, albeit you knew it was coming, "Change-Of-Life".
It doesn't matter when it arrives, because the chicken already flew the coop and it's on its way home to roost.
And as you’ve always been told, since you were very young, it’s all going to be downhill from there.
FFS !
However, there is one more option to consider.
I believe it's time to turn the nonsense we've been fed, upside down and recognise a gift when it's given to us.
Menopause is the START of a woman's life.
It's certainly not the end.
And there's nothing to fear. Except a lack of knowledge. And and a lack of energy, which in turn creates disinterest and apathy.
No one deserves that.
Steering through menopause you'll have to learn how to interpret the signs, understand the symptoms, and navigate the path you take. So you can enjoy commanding the process.
And if you take a wrong turn, you're going to need to draw on your confidence and energy in order to change tack and take another path.
It’s time to control who you are, where you're going and how you plan to get there.
I've created an ever evolving menopause hub full of relevant information that will help you navigate and create your journey. It's a hub of knowledge from all angles, lots of different points of views with scientific, natural and holistic backgrounds. I'm not here to make the decisions for you. I'm here to give you the info so you can make an informed choice. And decide your future.
Welcome to your menopause journey Ladies. A journey you get to create, own and enjoy.
You may as well be able to summon the energy to enjoy it and experience some fun along the way.
Remember, you have a gut instinct for a reason. Use it always, it's there to guide you into making the rights decsions for you. Remember who you are, why you're here and how much you've yet to achieve. You can't do that with a lack of energy, a crappy diet and a sedentary lifestyle.
I'm not here to tell you to work out every day for hours on end and eat lettuce until you turn green. I'm here to motivate, encourage and hopefully inspire you to be the best that you can be at the most crucial time of your life.
